For me, songwriting can be a way of understanding my feelings or a way to heal and find something positive in a painful situation, whether it be the uncertainty or excitement of a possible new romance, the hope that's left at the end of a special relationship, or more global issues. if a song of mine can give someone a moment of hope and clarity, then I have done my job.
