Sunbird Duo is Cheryl Fiedler (soprano) and Kim Kirkman (harp). Cheryl is 15 years old and has been learning singing for four years. For many of those years, her Mum drove her to Mackay from Prosperine, one and a half hours away, for her weekly lesson with Kim.

Kim has been a professional musician for over twenty years and enjoys playing the harp as it calms him down.

Rich and Rare is Sunbird Duo's debut album. It was ABC Tropical North's album of the week and features many folk songs from the UK as well as some light classical pieces.
